What the site provides
PlayPick helps readers discover PC games, Android games and Android apps. Catalogue pages bring together product information and links to official stores. Guides and comparisons should help readers understand a choice or solve a specific problem.
Sources and updates
Product information is drawn from recorded store listings and other identified official sources. It is a snapshot and can become outdated. The current store listing is the reference for availability, system requirements, purchase terms and downloads.
An imported store description is not a PlayPick test or review. Hands-on testing should only be claimed when the article documents what was tested. Unverified features, compatibility or performance should not be presented as established facts.
Ratings and rankings
Android ratings use recorded store star ratings. Where a Steam positive-review share is displayed on a five-point scale, the share is multiplied by five; this is a display conversion, not a Steam star rating. These measures are not directly equivalent.
Android games and apps
Android ordering uses verified Google Play signals checked within the previous 30 days: the store rating, the published rating or review count, and the lower bound of the published download range. A baseline equivalent to 100 ratings at 70% of the rating scale (3.5 out of 5) reduces the influence of very small samples. The score weights logarithmic review volume at 75% and the download-range lower bound at 25%, adjusted by that rating measure. Missing or outdated download data contributes zero rather than an invented estimate.
PC games on Steam
Among entries with verified current metrics, titles matched to an official Steam most-played snapshot from the previous seven days come first in snapshot order. The remaining verified titles are ordered using review volume and the positive-review proportion, with the same small-sample baseline. PlayPick then numbers the catalogue positions consecutively: 1, 2, 3 and so on.
Freshness and availability
Checks run in batches. Temporary fetch errors retain previously verified metrics until their freshness window expires. Titles confirmed unavailable in the checked store region, or without a verified source or current metrics, follow eligible verified titles. The seven-day Steam chart window and 30-day metric window are evaluated separately.
A ranking-update date describes when the site order was calculated. A latest successful store-check date describes the latest successful batch coverage; it does not mean that every title was refreshed at that time. Positions apply to PlayPick’s catalogue and can change as source data is refreshed.
Prices and free downloads
Prices refer to the recorded store region and date where available. They can change. “Free” describes the base download or entry price; in-app purchases, subscriptions, paid upgrades or additional content may still apply. Unknown prices should remain unverified rather than be assumed free.
Commercial relationships
Paid placements and affiliate links should be clearly labelled when used. A commercial arrangement must not be presented as a store rating, independent test result or guaranteed recommendation.
