A practical starting plan based on documented mechanics. Check the current in-game prompts when controls, events or prices change.
Finish one shipment before planning a huge operation
Follow a complete cycle: clean a manageable patch, collect the dust, deliver it and launch a shipment. Notice where the time goes. The first useful question is whether you are waiting on cleaning, carrying or travel, because each points to a different next purchase.
Buy for the step that is slowing you down
If the cleaning itself feels slow, compare the available tools. If storage repeatedly fills before you finish an area, look at carrying capacity. If most of the session is spent returning to deliver, review the work area and depot position. This is a diagnostic method, not a claim that one upgrade order is best for every save.
Split responsibilities in a small co-op crew
For a first group session, try a cleaner, a collector or hauler, and someone watching deliveries and the next purchase. In a two-person crew, combine the last two jobs. Swap roles after a shipment so everyone understands where the operation stalls. The goal is fewer repeated interruptions, not forcing a permanent job assignment.
Keep a simple before-and-after comparison
Work on a similar-sized patch before and after one upgrade. Note how often you return to deliver and whether the crew spends less time waiting. Changing several things together makes it harder to tell which purchase helped. Measure your own session if you want exact timing; no PlayPick benchmark is implied here.
Check the live build before following construction advice
The game receives developer updates through Steam. A guide written for an older build may describe placement or vehicle behavior differently. Use the installed version and current prompts when a step does not match. For troubleshooting, include that version when you report the problem.
