You can play Pokémon GO Wild Area: Global without buying a ticket. The event runs on November 14 and 15, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in your local time zone each day. If you only have one session, choose Saturday for Dynamax Dialga or Sunday for Dynamax Palkia. If you want Gigantamax Duraludon, arrange a group before you plan the rest of your route.
What you get with and without the ticket
| Feature | Without a ticket | With the global ticket |
|---|---|---|
| Event battles | Day-specific Dialga or Palkia Max Battles and six-star Gigantamax Duraludon Max Battles | Same battle lineup, plus a Duraludon encounter with a Special Background through ticket research |
| Daily Max Particle collection cap | 1,600 | 3,200, with increased collection from Power Spots and exploration |
| Daily Gym Raid Passes | Up to 3 | Up to 6 |
| Catching and research | Event Field Research, mighty Pokémon and chances to pick up GO Safari Balls | Extra Incense encounters, including mighty Latias and Latios, branching Special Research and improved Shiny odds |
The official page lists the global ticket at US $11.99. Check the price in your region. If your main goal is one Dynamax debut and a few catches, start with the free schedule. The paid benefits matter more if you have time for repeated battles or want the exclusive research and Incense targets.
A one-hour route for free players
- First 10 minutes: set your target. Pick a nearby route with PokéStops and Power Spots. Spin the stops you pass for a chance at GO Safari Balls. If you want Duraludon, confirm the group and meeting point before setting off.
- Next 35 minutes: follow the battle plan you can actually finish. Prioritize the day’s Dynamax debut if a suitable battle is available. Check your Max Particles before committing. Gym Raid Passes cover raids, so collecting more of them will not solve a Max Particle shortage. If the group falls through, switch to catching and Field Research rather than spending the hour moving between empty lobbies.
- Last 15 minutes: spend the resources that expire. Use any GO Safari Balls you picked up on the mighty encounters you want most. They are usable during event hours and disappear from your inventory after the global event. Leave enough time to finish the encounter before your session ends.
Choose one fallback before you leave
If you have no group, pick a short loop of stops and focus on catches. If your local area has few stops, bring ordinary Poké Balls and leave storage space before the event. If you have two short sessions, pick a different Dynamax target each day. Those choices matter more for a short visit than a long list of things you might catch.
