Choose the target before choosing the explosion
Start with the objective counter and the obstacles preventing access to it. A large clear away from those targets may be less useful than a smaller clear through a blocked route. The recipes below come from Dream Games; the decision examples explain how to apply them rather than promising a universal best move.
| Power-up | Matching pattern | Documented effect |
|---|---|---|
| Rocket | Four in a line | Clears a row or column; horizontal matching creates a vertical Rocket, and vice versa |
| Spinner | Four in a square | Clears adjacent items on takeoff and a random item elsewhere |
| Dynamite | An L or T pattern | Clears a two-tile radius |
| Electro Ball | Five in a line | Clears one color; tapping chooses the most common color, while swapping selects that color |
Use a combination for a specific job
Rocket plus Rocket clears the crossing row and column. Rocket plus Dynamite covers three rows and three columns. Consider where their intersection lies before combining them: the same combination in a different position can miss the obstacle you need to reach.
Understand the Electro Ball trade-off
Dream Games says pairing an Electro Ball with a Rocket, Spinner or Dynamite converts the board’s most common matching color into that power-up. Two Electro Balls clear all matching items and remove one layer from items. That final detail matters: removing a layer does not mean every multi-layer obstacle disappears.
Do not build a combo at any cost
Compare the moves needed to bring two power-ups together with what you can clear now. If few moves remain, an immediate objective-clearing action may be better than preparing a bigger effect you cannot activate. Recheck the objective counter after the result, because the board can look dramatically cleaner while the required target remains.
Quick answers
Are power-ups and consumable boosters the same?
This recipe table covers the power-ups created through matching. Check the in-game description before spending a separate inventory booster; the recipe alone does not explain that item’s cost or use conditions.
Is there one combination that beats every hard level?
No guaranteed combination is established here. Position, objective and obstacle layers change the decision. Our Royal Kingdom profile explains the broader game and compares Royal Match.
