What kind of action game is Phantom Blade Zero?
S-GAME casts you as Soul, a hunted martial artist investigating the death of his master. The appeal is a combination of close-range combat and exploration through a dark wuxia setting. Steam lists single-player play; this page covers the PC edition.
Weapons, defense and exploration
Main weapons provide different attack patterns, while Phantom Edges add specialized capabilities. Some tools also open routes through the world. Side paths can therefore be worth returning to after your equipment changes, rather than treating every blocked route as a puzzle you must solve immediately.
Choose difficulty around the experience you want
S-GAME describes difficulty options including the story-oriented Wayfarer and the more demanding Hellwalker. Start with a setting that lets you read an enemy’s attacks. A difficulty label is not a measure of how much of the story you deserve to see.
